These past two months have been full of meaningful moments at ROHI. From special celebrations to time spent with families, we continue to see God at work in the lives of our students.
Spiritual Growth
One of the highlights of these months was a spiritual camp/retreat, where students had time to learn more about God, pray together, and grow in their faith. Then the group took them on an exciting trip to the swimming pools.
We also continue to have family church services, bringing families together for worship and encouragement.
Time for Fun and Fellowship
Students enjoyed special outings, including a visit to the Olympic Village. These experiences are not only fun, but also give students the chance to build friendships and simply enjoy being kids.
Investing in Families
We held parent workshops to support and encourage families, as well as talks for youth and children focused on important life topics.
Our team also continued home visits, strengthening relationships with families and providing support where it is needed most.
Academic Progress
Students received their first grading period report cards, marking an important milestone in their academic journey this year.
Celebrating and Learning Together
Throughout March and April, our students participated in several civic activities, including Water Day, Earth Day, and Language Day. These moments give students the opportunity to learn, celebrate, and grow both academically and personally.
A Major Step Forward for ROHI
We are excited to share that we have officially signed the contract to purchase land for the ROHI Project.
This is something we have prayed about for a long time, and it marks an important step toward having a permanent, safe place for our students that will allow most of our students to avoid crossing the dangerous highway.
Once we raise the funds needed for Stage One, we will be able to break ground and begin building.
We are so grateful for the generosity that has brought us this far.
