At ROHI, we celebrate the Day of the Bible on the last Friday of September with a worship service and doing something special alluding to the sacred scriptures that God has given us to learn more about the right path.
This year we wanted to do something different: represent some characters from the Bible—men and women who were servants and children of God who served and honored Him at all times with their lives. From the teachers to the students, each grade personified a man or woman from the Bible. In addition, during the service, a girl and boy representative of each grade, together with their teacher, explained who they represented and why. It was a very nice time where, in addition to remembering the biblical characters, they also learned about others they did not know and what each person did out of obedience to God.

The good thing about these family services is that we are not only leading and guiding children and young people on the right path, but also parents are being evangelized to learn about Christ and recognize their sins and understand that God has a wonderful plan for their families.
Also, as staff, we always try to be an example for our little ones in every activity. We not only ask the students to participate, but we try to be with them and do the activity as a family.

ROHI Project aims to provide comprehensive care to the children, youth, and their families who live and work in the Tegucigalpa, Honduras, municipal dump. The project name ROHI is inspired from one of the Hebrew names for God, Jehovah Rohi meaning “the Lord is my shepherd” as seen in Psalm 23.
